Blazers, sweaters, and jackets, too bad it’s getting to hot in Arizona to wear them.

Ring from Last Chance, thrifted bracelet, H&M magazine: great source for inspiration

Clothes I don’t have room for, hopefully our mom lets us convert our guest room into a closet.

Me and Fefer

Currently loving our zoom lens, it makes filming our videos easier and I love taking pictures of Fefer’s outfits with it.

image

Fefer’s DIY chain earring. I think it looks good on Fefer and she always seems to find some random junk to put on it.

More of Fefer’s junk

My room always gets messed up after we do a style video. I usually clean it right away but today I was to lazy.

Today i managed to:

  • Wake up late
  • Fail a math test
  • Lose my phone
  • Find my phone
  • Walk around Fashion Square for 2 whole hours
  • Completely destroy my room

Yeah I would say today was pretty productive

Current inspiration

image

Elin Kling: loving her style right now, I wish I could pull of the idgaf, anything I wear looks amazing on me look. However, I’m only 4’ 11” (yes, I have not broken 5 feet yet) and although I love several spring trends, many of them won’t look good on me.

image

Gmarket blazer: I’m not 100% sure how to navigate my way through Gmarket, I should probably finish watching lookunderhere’s: How to Gmarket Part ll and review part 1 so I can figure out how to buy stuff.

image

Gmarket oxfords: One thing I really like about Gmarket, other than all the amazing clothes and shoes, is the outfit ideas, like the one pictured above the oxfords. When I’m having a hard time deciding what to wear, which was every day last week, I visit Gmarket for inspiration.

image

Favorite Zara trousers: Fefer and I didn’t go to Zara while in L.A., but that’s ok because I wouldn’t be willing to spend $60 on a pair of trousers anyways.

image

Turbans: I’ve been in love with the trend for a while now, but I’ve yet to master the turban on myself. Idk if it’s my hair or my round face but it just doesn’t look right on me.

Doesn't Subway sound good for dinner? No

Just a shirt I wore today, I would say it’s probably one of my favorite finds from Goodwill. It’s a bit chilly for my taste here in Arizona, I hope it warms up soon.

Some photos from our last night in L.A. Fefer and I had dinner and walked around downtown. We ate at the Original Pantry Cafe and because I’m a cheap ass I asked for two slices of bread. Being the goods sister Fefer is, she shared her pancakes and potatoes with me. It was chilly for us Arizonan’s but thankfully we packed heavy coats. Overall our trip was a success, I can’t wait for another road trip with Fefer. And now, it’s back to reality boring Arizona, school, work and the hot weather that’s right around the corner.

Photo’s by the one and only Fefer

First day in L.A. we spent most of our time in Santee Alley. I was worried it would be cold, but the weather is perfect. I’m in love with my new blazer from H&M, I had to buy it when I saw it went on sale. More shopping tomorrow and of course my favorite the continental breakfast.

Boy is it hot outside, they say it’s going to hit 90 which means it will feel like 110. Fefer and I started our day early with some breakfast and filming a new intro and video. Right now we’re just waiting for our mom, aunt and uncle to get back from Old Town Scottsdale and then we’re headed to Ranch Market. Fefer and I still haven’t packed our cleaned out her car for our trip to L.A. But as the wise Miss Seksi Baby Nevada always says, we’re procrastinators and we will do it at the last minute.

Fefer and I have lived in Arizona almost all our lives and we’ve never really walked around downtown. Today we walked around downtown Phoenix with our aunt and uncle who are visiting for a few days. Fefer and I had a really nice time riding the light rail and enjoying the fresh spring air. Now we have a few busy days ahead of us, getting ready for L.A. and continuously working on our Youtube channel.

She's the only person I know that's from Nevada, I'm not from Nevada

Last night Fefer and I took a quick trip to Last Chance. We said we weren’t going to buy anything, and I really meant it. But for the first time in a really long time; we got a close parking spot, and I bought something. Well I usually do buy something, but I don’t think I’ve ever spent as much money as I did last night.

So here is what I found:

image

image

I’ve always wanted a pair of these boat shoes. I have a pair with four eyes but there’s something about the two eye that’s so classic yet causal cool. Yeah they’re a little scuffed up but I don’t mind it gives them character. Plus I think they will be great for all the walking I’ll be doing in L.A., I’m so glad Fefer found these for me.

Now for the price: Women’s Authentic Original 2-Eye Boat Shoe $75.00

I only paid $30!

image

This is what I’m most excited about. I’ve been looking for a full 100% leather jacket for a long time and last night I stumbled across this one by accident. Knowing my luck I would get home and find out that it wasn’t even worth what I paid for it, but, I was shocked to find out how much it was actually worth.

Kenna- T Leather Motorcycle Jacket in charcoal I paid $60, but it retailed for a whopping $478 at Nordstrom.

I will definately be taking my new jacket with me to L.A.

To my amazing sister:

Fefer aka Miss Seksi Baby Nevada, don’t let your mom get to you, she’s just jealous she can’t be you. You and I both know if anyone’s got a mental issue it’s her. And thanks for always waiting up for me. You know I’d TAKE A BULLET STRAIGHT THROUGH MY CHANKLA FOR YOU. Lets get soda in the morning.

After a busy day Fefer and I had dinner at Armando’s. Since making our Youtube channel, we’ve been working on videos non stop which gives us less time to sleep and more time to drink soda.

We are SUPER excited to be going to L.A. next week over spring break, oh the shopping we’ll do. And of course I’ll be sharing everything I buy with you guys, which reminds me I need to make our reservations.

For business inquires: Meet us at Cosco, we'll be seated under the umbrella.

On Sunday I was almost late for work because I got so caught up talking about this bag with Fefer. Now I know what your thinking WTF that’s just some plain messenger bag, BUT it’s really not.

image

I don’t know how I became so enthralled with this bag, I think it started with this:

image

Rumi Neely, H&M suede dress, which made me look up suede bags and I found this

image

Proenza Schouler PS1 pink suede. Then at work on Sunday as if it was a sign from above, a lady checking out in my line just happened to have this bag.

image

And how did I instantly know it was a PS1, because of the eye catching closure.

What’s weird to me, is that I typically like bags with more structure. But, the idea of a slouchy messenger that could go with everything, is what instantly attracted me to the PS1. Another plus, is the fact that I could get it in suede, which I love and think can always be dressed up or dressed down. There’s so many other things I love about this bag, like how it can take on various shapes depending on what you put it it, or how there’s not any flashy labels on it. It’s simple yet classic.

With all that said, I’ve made a decision, I’m going to purchase this bag. But not any time soon, because it’s 1,300 dollars and because I’m a major cheap ass. But I’m 100% certain that this will be my first investment bag.

Quick update: I asked Fefer to buy me this bag and she said ok as long as I get her an iphone. So all I have to do is get her a $49 dollar iphone and I’ll get a 1,300 dollar PS1.

Sounds like a win win situation to me

Thrifted top(Tiedemann’s): $1.98, thrifted shorts(Goodwill): .99 cents, thrifted belt(Goodwill): .99 cents, Cole Haan loafers.

I think today was pretty productive Miss Seksi Baby Nevada and I went to the flea market to make a video, which we’re still working on due to strange technical difficulties. Then we spent the rest of the night making pita pizzas and playing chicken foot with my mom and Greg.

And now I’m enjoying Mileybird on SNL and some delicious banana pudding.

I’m in love with my new hair, its so easy to maintain. I think it’s probably my favorite haircut in a long time. The only thing that bothers me about it, is now Fefer keeps calling me Princess Diana. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with the princess part but Diana’s hair was a completely different cut. But as long as Fefer remains my chauffeur amazing sister, she can call me whatever she wants.

Oh and I just bought some amazing chinos tonight, hope to share them with you soon.

The library will close in 5 minutes

I’m not sure if I’ve shared this with you guys but Fefer and I have been working on a Youtube channel. We named it The Fashion Citizen and are working on trying to upload new videos daily. I guess thats kind of why I’ve been absent from tumblr lately, but it really takes time to put videos together. Plus, Fefer and I are very committed, because I told her, “The only way were making a channel, is if we actually make videos.” And we have so I’m proud of us.

So feel free to check it out here

Oh and tomorrow I’m taking the plunge and cutting my hair. I had planned on getting it done today but, my hairstylist wasn’t in.

And I hope to be sharing more of my outfits with you guys because I feel like I’ve been slacking on my outfit posts.

It was probably something funny, because I'm hilarious.

Be still Cate, I’m having a fashion moment. Remember when I wrote about this collection, well if you don’t, I wrote that this dress was my favorite from Givenchy’s Spring 2011 Haute Couture collection. Everything, even her hair is perfect, it embodies style. Thank you Cate Blanchett for doing Givenchy justice and looking spectacular.

And now I’m even considering getting my hair cut like Cate’s but, I’m not sure I could pull it off. It’s just so perfect on her, I dare not ruin it.
